人民网北京6月8日电 中央电视台《新闻联播》节目主持人罗京的病逝在亚洲广播电视界也引起了不小的震动。亚广联秘书长大卫·阿斯特利先生6月8日在接受人民网邮件专访时表示，亚广联得知罗京5日病逝的消息后深表悲痛。

　　阿斯特利先生说，罗京这样一位备受尊敬的播音员如此年轻地离开了我们，这是尤其让人感到难过的。阿斯特利先生表示，直到去年8月底最后一次主持节目的过去20年中，罗京因主持中央电视台新闻节目而为广大观众所熟知。他相信，全中国广大电视观众都会深切怀念罗京。

　　阿斯特利秘书长同时表示，希望能够通过接受人民网的采访，向罗京的家人表达亚广联对罗京逝世的深切缅怀和诚挚哀悼。

　　亚洲及太平洋地区广播联盟（ABU）成立于1964年，是亚洲及太平洋地区的一个地区性国际专业组织。我国于1972年成为亚广联正式会员。

　　I apologise for not being able to reply on Friday, but Iwasoverseas.

　　We were indeed saddened to learn of the untimely death of LuoJingon

　　Friday. It is especially sad when such a respected anchoristaken

　　from us at such a relatively young age. We know that LuoJingwas

　　very much the public face of CCTV News for about 20 yearsupuntil

　　his last appearance at the end of August last year, so I knowhewill

　　be sorely missed by his many ardent followersthroughoutChina.

　　It would be much appreciated if through your paper youcouldconvey

　　the ABU"s sympathy and sincere condolences to his family.
