本机由行走及传动机构，秧盘、送秧器、秧枪组成。结构简单、操作方便、运用性强，适用于现行的国内农艺水平，它工作原理是用秧枪凌空把秧苗射插田中，因此它克服了机械插秧的缺点，对秧苗壮弱，土壤的粘性，田地平整度等均无要求。射插过程中的秧苗无损伤，无漂秧丢穴现象等。育秧方式可采用非秧盘育秧方式，也可采用秧盘育秧方式和钵体育秧方式。秧盘和射秧器可根据农艺要求组合。例如：可实现不等株距即宽窄行插播等，该项技术将是插秧机的一次革命，和播秧机比造价低，省人工育秧方式简单。目前正在实施开发。已制成样机，进入小试阶段，市场前景十分广阔。市场尚未令人满意的机型，全国水稻插秧大部分仍然是手工劳作，单就黑龙江三江平原来说就有几百万亩水田大面积作业尚用手工插秧，每到插秧季节有上万名次工乘专列涌向三江，专业户急切地渴望有一种适用的插秧机，因此这块市场将是“卖方”市场。
